The 320± acre Craven Ranch is located approximately four miles west of Newport, Nebraska, in the famed hay country of Rock County. The ranch consists mostly of high-producing sub-irrigated hay meadows complete with a full headquarters, roping arena, and corrals. Nearly all of the 320 acres can be hayed or used for intensive grazing. The ranch would also make a great year-round cow/calf operation supporting up to 100 pair. The house is a quaint three-bedroom home with nice updates, and the shop has a concrete floor along with horse stalls and tack room. The sub-irrigated hay meadows are highly sought after in Rock County, and a great water system with pipeline will provide many management options. The Craven Ranch would make a great starter ranch or expansion for existing operation needing more hay base.
